Join us on November 22 with Vini Diaz, Capture Tech Lead at Electronic Arts, and Richard Welsh, Lead Programmer at Ubisoft Toronto, for a session designed to open the doors to the exciting world of game development and design.
Whether you're an aspiring developer, designer or a student eager to explore career opportunities, this workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to the gaming industry in Canada. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from seasoned professionals and engage in discussions that will demystify the art of game development.
Furthermore, for those looking to master game development and design, this session will provide an overview of a new Game Development Bootcamp, a Game Design Bootcamp and AR/VR courses provided by Circuit Stream in collaboration with the University of British Columbia’s Extended Learning and the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies. The next cohorts for these programs will kick off on February 13, 2024.

Rich has been a programmer in the games industry for 18 years, having worked on projects ranging from Prison Tycoon to The Division. For the last 6 years he's been working at Ubisoft Toronto, where he's presently the lead programmer on the Splinter Cell Remake project.
